Dorothy & Marian Baptised February 2007

The 4th of February saw the first baptismal service in Lawn Community Centre. For our previous baptismal services we have used Gorse Hill Baptist Church for the afternoon. This time however, we felt it would be good to hold the service in the community that we feel called to work in.

We investigated hiring or acquiring a pool, but in the end we opted to have a go at making our own. Crispian and Keith put in many hours of work - and we have ended up with a pool that we can use again in the future.

Dorothy was the first to be baptised, she had recently received a message from a friend who was the first to be baptised at the B.I.A.C. up in Old Town, so they were a pair of firsts.

Dorothy was bubbling over before and afterwards as you can see from her expression.

Marian was the second to be baptised in February.

We are now looking forward to another chance to use the new pool when Phil will be baptised on Easter Sunday.
