Lawn Community Association - Summer Fayre - 14th June 2008
A summer fayre was held on the Guildford Avenue green space this year, it was an opportunity to sit and listen to the brass band playing while eating a cream tea on a lovely summary afternoon!

The Great Western Youth Band is quite a new band but they play to a high standard and have been competing in and doing well in national competitions.

It was a very enjoyable afternoon sat listening to the band out in the sun.
|
|
The Lawn Gardening Club had a stall on which they were selling plants.
|
|
There was also produce on sale from farmers market stalls.
|
|
There was a display giving information about the church and about the Alpha course which is due to run again this coming September.
|
|
John Roe used the opportunity to get some people to sponsor him for a 100mile cycle ride to raise money for Ecuador.
